1. Who we are
Vessio is operated by [Vessio AS, org. no. —, Norway] (“Vessio”, “we”). Contact: the address on the imprint.
2. The service
Vessio transfers files: you upload, we store them for a limited time, the people you choose download them. Two modes exist. In Standard mode files are encrypted in transit and at rest and Vessio can scan them for malware and known illegal content. In end-to-end encrypted mode files are encrypted in your browser before upload and Vessio cannot read them; sizes, timestamps, addresses and account data remain visible to us.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You need an account with a verified email address to send. Paid plans require a payment method on file. You are responsible for what you upload and for the people you share links with. One person per account; teams have named members.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Vessio to distribute malware, material that is illegal where you or your recipients are, content that infringes others’ rights, unsolicited bulk messages, or anything that abuses other people’s accounts or our infrastructure. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break this rule. When we remove content we tell the uploader why and how to contest the decision (notice and action).
5. Retention and deletion
Transfers expire on the date shown when they are sent and are deleted afterwards. Deleting your account removes your passkeys and sessions at once; the account record is kept for 30 days for audit purposes, then purged. Details are on the trust page.
6. Plans, payment, trial
Plans are billed by our merchant of record, Paddle, which handles VAT and invoices. Trials require a card and convert unless cancelled. After a failed payment the plan is kept for 14 days while the card is retried; afterwards the account drops to probation limits.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but give no uptime guarantee on self-serve plans. We may change the service and these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 30 days ahead.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vessio is liable only for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, and never for indirect damage or lost profit. Keep your own copies: Vessio is transfer, not storage.
9. Governing law
Norwegian law applies. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
